Fundraising Update October 2024
BIG NEWS! We have hit the £100,000 mark and now have enough funds to start Phase 2 of our build!
Smashed £100K!
Our current total is a massive £113,794 for which we are so grateful to all our supporters and to God, for His faithfulness! We are around half-way, so please do continue to donate so we can make a great start on the next £100,000!
Grants and Donations
We have been hugely blessed by individuals who continue to donate to this cause. Thank you for believing in the future of our church and God's work here in the community. We also express our gratitude to Bures Music Festival for supporting us once again, this year with an incredible £2000 grant award. We are also grateful to Babergh District Council who been able to give £5000 towards the new toilet block. Our thanks also to the Beatrice Laing Trust for investing in us with £4000.
Phase 2 – The Hall Toilet Block
The part of the build we will commence soon is the hall toilet block, which will finally be accessible for users with mobility issues/disabilities. Works should begin before the end of this year. Phase 2 will also include all-in-one toilet units, baby-changing, underfloor heating and knocking through to the new corridor.
Our Fundraisers
We have benefitted from some brilliant fundraisers this year - a bustling quiz, an insanely funny comedy night with comedian Andy Kind and a joyful BBQ and Band on the common, with the wonderful West Bergholt Concert Band. Huge thanks to all who attended and especially to our amazing teams and acts.
